Out with the old and in with the new, right? This is the time of year where we reflect and take pause. We think about new friends we’ve made and maybe some old friends we’ve lost. New jobs, moving, and all we’ve overcome.
Life changes and so do our expectations and goals. This year was filled with so many ups and downs for me. I moved, my husband started a new job, I published two books–craziness! I have so much to be grateful for. I have a supportive family, the BEST READERS IN THE WORLD, and some of the most wonderful friends anyone could ask for.
This next year I have some great things happening. I’ll release Consolation and Conviction, and who knows what else.
My friends and I do something every year. We reflect on what has happened and what we want to work on for ourselves.
- I want to focus on balance in my life. I want to be a mother and wife first and foremost. Shutting down the electronics and being PRESENT.
- I want to live healthier. We only get one body and I think mine has had enough.
- I’m going to find a way to guard my heart a little more. I have a tendency to love deep and give my whole heart away … which leaves me with nothing.
Wait…

There’s a part of me what wants that last one to be real but that’s who I am. I’m this crazy, deep, loving, person. The people who TRULY know me say if I did this … I wouldn’t be me. I think I just need to learn to have friends and then friends. What I wish most for 2015 is that the people around me are filled with love and happiness. May this year be your best year. I love you all. Happy New Year!

I think your goals for the new year sound perfect. I myself have to stop taking things to heart and stop letting people walk all over me, I need to be who I am and thats an imperfect person who tries her very best to be the best wife and Mommy I can

Just wanted to tell you that I absolutely LOVE your books. I have read hundreds of romance books and I will be honest, I LOVE Syliva Day, but your books blew me away! I felt like I was right there with the characters and I was left saddened with a book hangover when I finished! Keep them coming, you are an amazing writer!
