Thank you so much for reading Come What May! Leaving behind a book is hard, but the end of a series always feels a little tougher. I spent years with these characters, and I have truly loved Ember Falls. When I was going to write this bonus scene, it was especially fun for me.
I hope you enjoy!

~Two Years Later~
“These are perfect!” I say as I pull out the bomber jacket that is so ridiculous that it’s amazing.
“I can’t believe we’re going to wear these,” Penelope says as she lifts hers up.
Ainsley grins. “Believe it. We’re going to be the talk of the Ultimate Frisbee world.”
“This is a good thing?” Violet asks.
“It’s something,” Penny adds, clearly not as excited as Ainsley and I are.
The Disc Jocks have made it to the Ultimate Frisbee playoffs. Yes, it’s a thing. One that they are very proud of getting to. Of course, it means that as their wives, we had to come out in support.
Violet slips hers on and turns, giving us a full showing. Each one of us has a cream-colored bomber jacket with a Frisbee embroidered on the back and their last name above it. The right sleeve has the words: Big Disc Energy going down it and the left sleeve has their number, which we just gave them for fun. The front is really where the magic is. There, we put the name of the era they wore when they played their tournament against the Swiftbees. We had to honor them in a way that is sure to embarrass them as well. Ainsley’s jacket says: Lover. Violet’s says: Fearless. Penelope’s has: Reputation. Mine says: 1989—which is comical in so many ways.
They are truly perfect.
I can’t wait to see the guy’s faces when we stroll up wearing them.
“Your friend is a magician,” Ainsley says as she grins broadly. “These are fantastic.”
I called Brianna a few months ago when Penelope mentioned WAGs jackets that she saw on social media for hockey teams. She was telling us about how Miles always wished he would’ve gotten to see the woman he loved wearing one.
We couldn’t let that go, so I called in a favor. Brianna has spent the last few years cultivating relationships in fashion. She said she knew of the perfect person who was up-and-coming and would love to make jackets for us if we would share them on social media.
I truly never expected them to be this on the nose.
“Seriously, Tessa, the guys are going to flip,” Violet chuckles softly. “Oh, look, mine even has Brutus!” She looks at the wrist area where we had a tiny emblem that represents each guy.
Ainsley gasps and she holds hers up. “Awww, a fire truck!”
Penelope laughs and shakes her head. “A tree. Cute.”
“What do you have?” Ainsley asks as she moves toward me.
“A horse.”
“You guys are too cute.”
I wink at her. “I think the best part of today is not only the jackets, but the new jerseys the guys will be wearing.”
We decided to take their old jerseys so they have no other options but to wear what we made. Well, I wouldn’t put it past them to go shirtless, but I’m sure there’s a rule about clothing—I hope.
We all get our jackets on, link arms, and walk out to the field.
The guys are warming up and as soon as they see us, each one stops to look. Killian’s smile is broad and he laughs before making his way toward me.
“Hi,” I say with a grin.
“You had jackets made?”
“Of course, we are WAGs, are we not?”
He lets out a deep, throaty laugh. “You are.”
Ainsley cuts in. “This is a very serious sport, Killian. We have to represent our men.”
His brow raises as he. Nods. “I see. Well, you are all beautiful and all of the Disc Jocks are proud to have such stunning women on our sideline.”
I look over at the very empty sideline. “You have no one else.”
Killian snorts. “It’s early.”
“Oh, okay. I thought maybe you just didn’t have any fans…”
Hazel makes her way off the field, grumbling and then her eyes widen. “What the hell? You had jackets made?”
I shrug. “Don’t feel left out, we had something made for you and your husband.”
If looks could kill, Hazel would have me ten feet under. Of course we didn’t make Caspian a jacket, because that would’ve been a total waste, but he does have a jersey with her name and number on it. Since he pretty much deemed himself the coach anyway.
“No, no, you didn’t have to do anything. I’m only on this stupid team because I lost a bet.”
She says that, but it’s been years now and she still shows up. Hazel would’ve found an out, so we all know she secretly loves it.
“Sure you are,” Everett scoffs. “Nice digs girls. Looking hot. You’re going to make all the other teams jealous.”
“That was our intent,” I say with a grin.
Miles has Penelope lifted in his arms with the biggest smile. It’s clear he likes the jacket.
Killian laughs and pulls me to him. “You always look hot.”
I stare up at my handsome husband and wink. “And I’m getting bothered thinking about you in your new uniform.”
His smile drops and eyes narrow. “What did you do?”
“Me?” I ask with all the innocence I can muster.
“Yes you. When did we get new uniforms?” Killian asks.
That’s a fair question and one that only makes this even more fun.
“Well, remember a few days ago when you asked me to wash it?”
“Yes, and you told me it was in my bag.”
“I lied,” I inform him.
“Tessa…”
“Killian…”
A low growl comes from his chest and I stifle a laugh. “Now, we had WAGs jackets and it was only fair that you guys got some new merch too. Part of my job as a publicist is to gather new customers, is it not?”
“I’m going to hate this, right?”
“Absolutely,” I tell him.
I grab the bag that is on the ground and the girls pull the other guys over. “The wives and I wanted to do something nice for you all, to show how much your league of old—er—extraordinary talented Frisbee players means to us. So, we thought, what better way to show our support than to have new jerseys made for you.”
I pull out the bright pink jersey with their names across the back and the numbers we gave them, which were their college numbers for their sport. On the front it says their team name, with a new addition.
“And Hazel?” Killian asks with a laugh.
Hazel groans. “The Disc Jocks & Hazel? That’s the team name now?”
Everett laughs and pulls her to his side. “Aww, look at you, officially part of the team.” He pulls his jersey on. “I’ll rock the pink.”
Miles and Lachlan follow suit, clearly not caring.
Killian winks at me then puts his on. “Still hot?”
Oh, this man could wear anything and I’d still think he was the sexiest thing to walk this Earth. I move to him, placing my hands on his chest. “Scorching.”
“Good. Give me a good luck kiss.”
I do as he asks, lifting up on my toes and pressing my lips to his. When he turns, I slap his ass. “Give ’em hell, baby.”
He turns, smirks, and blows me a kiss. “Oh, I will and later, when we win, I’m going to give you something.”
“Promise?”
Killian’s sly grin sends tingles through me. “Absolutely.”
And my man always keeps his promises.
The END of Ember Falls!
I hope you loved the Disc Jocks as much as I did and are ready for a whole new adventure!
We are heading to Colorado for the Heartstone Ranch series and I am freaking GIDDY! This new series is going back to my roots with some cowboys, small towns, and a whole lot of fun!
